Riesling from the UNESCO World Heritage Site
The Rüdesheimer Berg is an extreme vineyard: In the shadow of the imposing ruins of Ehrenfels Castle, our rows of vines steeply descend southwards towards the Rhine. Here, the highest solar radiation in the Rheingau occurs.
We cultivate our vines in the three renowned vineyard locations Berg Schlossberg, Berg Roseneck, and Berg Rottland, which was already mentioned in 1074.
As early as 1826, Friedrich Nägler was listed as the owner of vineyards in Rüdesheimer Berg in the oldest Rüdesheim stock book. Today, Dipl. Ing. Tilbert Nägler manages the family winery. On 8 hectares, 90% Riesling is grown, along with smaller parcels of Spätburgunder and Weißburgunder.
