Current construction measures and traffic changes
Construction work on the Rhine cycle path
On June 25, 2025, work will begin to close the gap in the Rhine Cycle Path along the B42 federal highway near Rüdesheim. While traffic from Rüdesheim to Assmannshausen can continue to flow on the B42, road users traveling in the opposite direction (Assmannshausen to Rüdesheim) will be diverted via Presberg.
Changes for the Rüdesheim-Bingen ferry service
The ferry can be used as usual from the direction of RÜD. Traffic from the ferry will be diverted towards Assmannshausen as described above. Vehicles with a length of more than 6 m cannot and must not use the ferry from BIN to RÜD (turning circle)
Construction of the Europakreisel
Hessen Mobil will start construction of the Europakreisel traffic circle in Rüdesheim am Rhein on June 30, 2025. The existing intersection of Bundesstraße 42 / Europastraße / Taunusstraße / Rüdesheimer Straße will be converted into a traffic circle at the entrance to the town by the end of March 2026.
The work will be carried out in two construction phases, each of which will involve road closures. Buses to P6, campsite guests and swimming pool guests will be diverted via Wiesbadener Straße/An der Weißburg.
