On UNESCO World Heritage Day, the 52 German World Heritage Sites will present themselves in all their diversity. Also participating is Rüdesheim on the Rhine, which has been part of UNESCO since 2002.

On World Heritage Day, you can get to know a truly special cultural treasure: Siegfried's Mechanical Music Cabinet, a truly unique museum, is located in the Brömserhof, a knight's residence from the 15th century. Here, a unique collection of over 400 self-playing musical automata is lovingly presented by the Wendel family.

On June 1, 2025, a special guided tour of Siegfried's Mechanical Music Cabinet will be offered on UNESCO World Heritage Day, followed by a silent film screening. During the approximately 2-hour event, the unimaginably complex "Marble Machine" will also be showcased; a musical instrument of a special kind. With 2,000 marbles, a crank, and gravity, music is produced. Swedish vibraphonist Molin spent 14 months crafting this giant instrument, which consists of over 3,000 individual parts. What emerged is unique. After the tour, there will be refreshments before the silent film screening begins. And here in the cinema, the next gem awaits: the original silent film organ from the Welte company from the 1920s. The start is at 2:00 PM on June 1, 2025.
