From Frankfurt follow the A66 via Wiesbaden then take the B42 along the Rhine and past Eltville to Rüdesheim am Rhein. From Koblenz follow the B9 along the eastern banks of the Rhine and through St. Goarshausen to Rüdesheim am Rhein.
Note for sat-nav users: the correct entry is 65385 RÜDESHEIM AM RHEIN, not to be confused with 55593 Rüdesheim (near Bad Kreuznach)!
The Rheingau line between Frankfurt am Main and Koblenz main railway stations (some services continue to Neuwied/Rhein) stops at least every hour in Rüdesheim am Rhein. Some services continue past Koblenz to Neuwied/Rhein.
A bus stop is in the Rheinstrasse at the Brömser Castle, approx. 100 metres from the Rüdesheim train station.

Please Note:
Train tickets are to be purchased before travel. You will find ticket machines at every train station along the Rheingau-Route.
Very few bus stops have a ticket machine and due to the situation with Covid-19 it is mostly not possible to purchase tickets in the bus. Please purchase a bus ticket at a train station in advance or book online at www.rmv.de/c/en/homepage. It is also possible to use the RMV-App which allows you a cash free purchase and provides you with a ticket straight to your smartphone or iPhone.
Rüdesheim on Rhine is 54km from Frankfurt Airport, making it easily accessible from any international origin. The journey by car takes about an hour, while public transport (via train) takes approx. 1.5 hours. Hahn airport is 65km from Rüdesheim on Rhine and it takes about 1 hour and 15minutes by car Please consider a possible waiting time when crossing the Rhine with the passenger or car ferry from Bingen to Rüdesheim.
Passenger and car ferry are available between Bingen and Rüdesheim.

For visitors of the Tourist Information free parking with a parking disc for 30 minutes on three parking lots opposite Eagle Tower. Free parking for 30 minutes on all other public parking spaces with a parking ticket. Please press the green button. Also note that parking times are strictly controlled by the public order office.

Parking at Niederwald Monument
Affordable parking is available close to the Germania monument, Niederwald temple and cable car station. The car park is open all year round. Flat-rate charge for the day: busses €8,00, cars €4,00, motorcycles free, coach + camping vans €8,00. Contact: Phone +49 (0)6722-2402
Disabled parking spaces
Free parking for disabled is possible at car parks P3, P4 and P9 as wellas at the market square and at the Eagle Tower, Adlerturm/Rheinstrasse.
Parking for motorcycles
Rheinstrasse between market square and Adlerturm/Eagle Tower. NB: a parking ticket is required for every motorcycle.
Caravans / Motor homes
Caravans/motor homes are permitted to park in all designated parking spaces – parking fees apply.
