Since 1953, the Niederwald Cable Car in Assmannshausen has been in operation.
During the 30-minute round trip, guests can relax and enjoy the special moment. This little break offers the perfect opportunity to slow down and escape the stressful everyday life. Even today, the cable car enchants young and old with its vintage charm. Glide up to the heights of Niederwald or enjoy picturesque views of the beautiful Rhine and the vineyards of Höllenberg during the ride down to the valley.

Is it possible to transport bicycles?
Yes, the transport of normal bicycles is possible. E-bikes and pedelecs cannot be transported on the chairlift.

Can strollers be taken along?
Yes, these must always be folded together.

Is it possible to take dogs with you?
Yes, dogs are allowed on the lift, regardless of breed, if accompanied by their owners. Small dogs can sit on the lap, but large dogs must sit next to the owner. Here it is very important that dog owners assess their dog correctly, as there is no extra security for the animals on the chairlift.

Can the cable car be reached barrier-free?
At the valley station there are a few steps to climb before getting on or after getting off. The upper station is barrier-free.

Not suitable for people with (extreme) fear of heights.

Only payment by cash possible.
