Winery and vinothek Georg Breuer

Get to know the wines of our homeland and visit us in our wine store in the heart of Rüdesheim. We also invite you to take a look at our historic cellar vaults.
In addition to wines and sparkling wines from our own cultivation, we also offer other specialties.

The winery Georg Breuer, founded in 1880, has been owned by the Breuer family since the beginning of the last century and is located in the heart of Rüdesheim.
Since the early 1980s, the winery has gained international recognition thanks to the visions and work of Bernhard Breuer. Today, it is managed by his daughter Theresa Breuer with the support of long-time operations manager Hermann Schmoranz and cellar master Markus Lundén:
We cultivate 38 hectares of vineyards in Rüdesheim (26 ha), Rauenthal (6 ha), and Lorch (6 ha) in the Rheingau, of which about 55% are on steep slopes. Grape varieties: 85% Riesling, 10% Pinot Noir, 5% Pinot Gris, Orleans, Heunisch, and Pinot Blanc.
The vineyards are farmed ecologically, and in the cellar, tradition combined with precision is paramount to highlight the purest expression of each site.
Our own taste for wine drives us to pursue the goal of producing dry top-quality wines from special sites in the Rheingau with each vintage… in our wine store, you can taste our treasures and dive into the world of Rüdesheim wines with us!

• The winery Georg Breuer is one of the founding members of the sustainability seal Fair’n Green, the first sustainability certification for viticulture in the German-speaking region.
• With a commitment to long-term protection of nature, the winery has embraced a path toward nature-friendly viticulture. Low yields, a reduction in monoculture, and seasonal greening are prerequisites for this; the strengthening of the vine and the preservation of soil life are the priorities.
• The team at the winery consists of many long-term employees from diverse nations who have become the "family" of the winery.
