Monasteries are culture. Wine and hiking too. All of this is united by the sisters of the St. Hildegard Abbey, theologian Anke Jarzina, and Rheingau culture and wine ambassador Wolfgang Blum in the Hildegard Wine Walks.

At the "Wine Walk" of the Benedictine Sisters of the St. Hildegard Abbey on Sunday, March 23, the significance of trees will be the focus. The cozy circular hike starts at 1 PM in the monastery vineyard below the abbey church. Outdoor pastor Anke Jarzina points out the beneficial effects of trees along the way. Petra Lauter from the parish of Heilig Kreuz presents the Arboretum project, where regionally typical trees are to be planted as an avenue. Sister Thekla, head of the abbey's own vineyard, shares her experiences as a winemaker. Culture and wine ambassador Wolfgang Blum highlights the charms of the Rheingau.
After the hike, the monastery shop will be exclusively open for the participants. Afterwards, you can listen to Vespers in the abbey, the sung evening prayer of the Benedictine Sisters (5:30 PM - 6:00 PM).
