The tradition of winemaking in our family dates back to 1649.
In 2011, I pressed my first wine. At that time, it was 300 liters of Riesling, of which 11 bottles are still left today. From the very beginning, I wanted to build my own business, and so it happened that I added more vineyard area each year to make the Heinz Störzel winery larger.
In 2016, I met my partner Katharina, with whom I now run the winery together. Together, and with the help of our family and friends, we cultivate 3 hectares of vineyards in the district of Rüdesheim am Rhein. Typical for the Rheingau, we mainly have Riesling and Pinot Noir grapes, but also Chardonnay, Silvaner, and Müller-Thurgau.
Our wines are characterized by a harmony of acidity, sweetness, and fruit. We have crisp, mineral Rieslings and juicy Pinots, as well as light and fresh Silvaner and Müller-Thurgau wines.
