The buildings of the Alte Bauernschänke date back to 1408 and are owned for more than 50 years by the Berg family. Since then we have kept renovating our traditional buildings in order to offer our guests finest standard and comfort. Together with Berg´s Vis a Vis and Berg´s Auszeit "Wellness and Wine", the hotel has been expanded by three more buildings.
Our family can look back on 90 Years in the restaurant and hotel trade, we have made hospitality our passion!
Dear guests,
we would like to point out that a tourism tax has been introduced for the town of Rüdesheim.
This amounts to € 2.50 per person/night for private stays as well as business travelers and is to be paid directly at the accommodation in addition to the travel price listed in this offer!

Getting here
You will find us in the centre of Assmannshausen at the foot of the Höllenberg next to the valley station of the chairlift. The church is right opposite.

Coming from direction Cologne/Koblenz:
A61 (direction Ludwigshafen), exit Bingen-Ost. Follow the signs "Rüdesheim am Rhein" and take the car ferry across the Rhine river. Then drive appr. 4km on the B42 (direction Koblenz) and take the first exit for Assmannshausen. Turn right at the "Volksbank" and follow the road up to thecentre of the village.
Coming from direction Frankfurt/Wiesbaden:
A66 to Wiesbaden and direktion Rüdesheim, then follow the B42 along the Rhine river through Rüdesheim and 4km further to Assmannshausen. Take the first exit to Assmannshausen and turn right at the "Volksbank". Follow the road up to the centre of the village.

The rooms are individually furnished and adapted to the conditions of the house. The different construction phases created corners and angles that give the house its incomparable charm.
