Two styles that complement each other perfectly
The regularly changing market menu with special seasonal and regional offers and the much-loved and popular classics both enrich the menu. Cold dishes and snack ideas with a fresh, uncomplicated Riesling are just as delicious as a perfectly roasted rump steak or Wisper trout gently cooked in butter. The large salad plate is a must, as are homemade soups and small toast dishes.
The market menu, on the other hand, emphasizes the special and whets the appetite for extraordinary, mostly seasonal moments of pleasure, which can include Rheingau milk-fed veal with port wine and morel sauce or a homemade nougat ice cream lasagne. Have you ever tried a parfait of asparagus and white Belgian chocolate on a raspberry mirror or "Bach's No. 1 Steak" of beef loin, matured on the bone for 40 days? Torsten Schambach demonstrates his passion for extremely tasty cuisine at an affordable price.
The Rheinterrasse in Assmannshausen Open-air enjoyment and a view of the Rhine included
No matter which of the two terraces you choose, you will always have the Rhine in view. The Rhine Terrace offers the perfect place to take a break with coffee and homemade cake right on the chocolate side of the hotel. The Assmannshausen red wine cake is one of the hotel's specialties here, but attractive ice cream sundaes, snacks and cool refreshments also accompany the direct view of the Rhine and its ships.
The garden terrace, on the other hand, exudes a touch of the south. Terracotta pots with lush herbs and Mediterranean-style plants create a sunny ambience even on cloudy summer days. Here, too, you can relax at leisure over an open-air breakfast, light lunch dishes, sweet afternoon temptations and fine regional menus in the balmy evening air.
