The tradition of this house has lasted for over 500 years. Above the entrance door, you can find the coat of arms and the indication of the year of construction: 1506. The proud late Gothic former town hall is a stone structure with stepped gables, a crenellation, and small eight-sided corner towers. It already served centuries ago as a collection point for the so-called "tithe," which was to be paid to the sovereign and elector. In the small Eibingen above Rüdesheim, the tithe was primarily to be paid in the form of grape must. As a result, delicious wine was already being made here in the Zehnthof at that time.
In this tradition, we, Patrick and Kathrin Ketzer, gladly continue in the third generation. Although the processed grapes are no longer a tithe payment, they come exclusively from our own 3.5 hectares of vine cultivation. Nevertheless, our wine should taste princely to you, and even more so.
Try our bold Riesling wines or the velvety smooth Pinot Noir. Hearty homemade dishes or complete menus from the kitchen of our estate winery, led by master chef Patrick Ketzer, make a perfect complement.
For wine tastings and celebrations, our rustic wooden barrel cellar provides the perfect ambiance.
The Eibinger Zehnthof winery covers approximately 4 hectares of its own vineyards with Pinot Noir, Riesling, Red Riesling, and Weißburgunder. The vineyards are cultivated with care and sustainability for the environment. The grapes are processed in stainless steel tanks with controlled fermentation. In spring, the wines are bottled in the Zehnthof and will be ready for sale starting in April or May.
Our kitchen, led by master chef Patrick Ketzer, offers you a variety of regional specialties. Seasonal highlights are offered on a monthly menu. We are happy to create a suitable menu or buffet for your event.
You will be well taken care of with us and can enjoy your event in a relaxed manner. For larger groups, we can send you a rich selection of dishes in advance, which you can then order by phone 2 hours before arrival. This ensures a smooth and swift process based on many years of experience with fresh homemade dishes.
The wine sales are possible almost anytime directly from the winery, and can also be provided chilled upon request.
For shipping, please visit our online shop. In general, wines are shipped the next business day. Shipping costs only €6. Wines are shipped in boxes of 1, 3, 6, and 12 bottles. Here, you will also find complete solutions for your gifts for customers or celebrations. Individual labels, greeting cards, suitable packaging, etc. just ask us.
We offer wine tastings in our estate restaurant or in the vaulted cellar, with a cellar tour upon request.
Fresh baguette is served with the wine tastings. To enhance the experience, cheese cubes or a vintner's platter are available. Of course, you can also choose from our extensive menu or a suitable menu, which we are happy to send you in advance by fax, letter, or email upon request.
