Experience a delightful day in the heart of the Rheingau – with wine, scenic views, and a passion for hiking!
Our excursion begins with a leisurely stroll through the vibrant and charming town of Rüdesheim, before we take the cable car high above the vines to the impressive Niederwald Monument. Here, an initial spectacular view of the Rhine Valley awaits us – a taste of what is to come.
From there, we hike for about two hours on well-maintained paths “dosch die Wingerte”, right through the vineyards, towards the renowned red wine village of Assmannshausen. The route is enjoyable without significant inclines and offers breathtaking views of the legendary Rhine Valley along the way – a UNESCO World Heritage Site filled with history and nature.
At selected locations, we take small breaks to indulge: Four different wines are tasted directly in the vineyards – where they have grown. We also provide interesting information about grape varieties, terroir, and tradition. At a particularly beautiful spot, we take a break and enjoy a hearty, regional winemaker's picnic – a true highlight in the open air.
Upon arriving in Assmannshausen, we relax and unwind. We take a leisurely boat ride back to Rüdesheim. On board, we serve you a cup of coffee or a soft drink – while enjoying the view over the passing Rhine Valley and ending the day in a delightful way.
