The tradition of viticulture in our family goes back to the year 1649.
In 2011 I pressed my first own wine. At that time it was 300 liters of Riesling, of which 11 bottles are still left today. Right from the start I wanted to set up my own business and so it came about that I took on more vineyards every year in order to expand the Heinz Störzel winery.
In 2016 I met my partner Katharina, with whom I now run the winery together. Together and with the help of our family and friends, we cultivate 3 hectares of vineyards in the district of Rüdesheim am Rhein. Typical for the Rheingau, we mainly have Riesling and Pinot Noir grapes, but also Chardonnay, Silvaner and Müller-Thurgau.
Our wines are characterized by the harmony of acidity, sweetness and fruit. We have crisp, mineral Rieslings and juicy Burgundies, but also light and fresh Silvaner and Müller-Thurgau wines.
