But first the Rheinsteig leads through vineyards and forest to the magic cave. Then comes the descent to the red wine mecca of Assmannshausen. After a tough ascent, the rocky path, panoramic views and first views of the castle ensure high spirits, while the Rheinsteig winds its way through the slope to Lorch.
